Festival Workshops

Two of the Master Classes are led by 2011 Governor General Award Winners. Presented with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Festival Workshops (Open to All)

The Festival is the ideal place to meet our favourite authors, but it is also a chance to improve one’s writing by signing up for workshops that are open to all.

The Blue Metropolis Literary Festival offers the chance to work not only with renowned authors, but also the artists behind graphic novels and illustrated books. Workshops with these talented people are open to all.

Master Classes

One of Blue Met’s most popular regular events, Master Classes bring together established and emerging writers in all genres with professional and emerging student writers who wish to improve their writing and discuss publishing issues. The Master Classes offer a unique opportunity to learn from a published author in a small setting where the discussions can often take on a life of their own.
