| Les textes présentés ici sont les versions publiées des actes d’une colloque tenu à l’université Concordia en 2007. Ils sont le reflet d’une expérience de publication unique en son genre que fut le magazine ViceVersa (1983-1997), au cours d’une période riche en débats portant sur la notion de transculture. Après que plus de vingt-cinq ans, ces actes nous replongent dans une discussion sur le sujet afin d’évaluer le degré d’évolution de certaines de ces notions. The texts in this book are the edited version of presentations made at a conference that was held in 2007 at Concordia University, Montreal. They grow out of reflections on a singular publishing experience represented by the transcultural magazine ViceVersa (1983-1997), at a time when there was a lively debate on the notion of transculture – a notion introduced to Canada by ViceVersa. After more than 25 years, this book re-proposes the basic elements of that discussion in the attempt to assess what has changed and what has remained constant. Gli scritti raccolti in questo volume sono la rielaborazione di testi presentati a un simposio che ha avuto luogo nel 2007 all’università Concordia di Montreal. Sono il risultato di una riflessione su una singolare esperienza editoriale, quella della rivista transculturale ViceVersa (1983-1997). Allora, il dibattito sulla nozione di transcultura che ViceVersa aveva introdotto in Canada, era particolarmente vivace. A distanza di oltre venticinque anni, questo libro rilancia i termini di quella discussione per vedere cosa è cambiato e indagare, invece, ciò che è rimasto immutato.
