CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE 13th BLUE METROPOLIS MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL LITERARY FESTIVAL , APRIL 27 TO May 1, 2011, MONTREAL.

Blue Metropolis is more than a literary festival; it is a meeting place where writers and readers gather to discuss subjects that matter. In 2011, Blue Metropolis will bring together well over 250 authors, actors, literary translators, editors, musicians, journalists and publishers from around the world for five days of literary events in English, French, Spanish and other languages.
SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
Are you a writer? Would you like to participate in the Festival?
Are you a publisher? Would you like to suggest some of your authors or to launch a book at the Festival?
Are you an artistic organization? Would you like to propose an event or a partnership?
1. Please send us a complete file which includes:
- a copy of the latest book
- a mention of languages spoken
- press clippings (digital version preferred)
- a photograph
- a bio mentioning any prizes received
- a list of published works, including the ones in translation
- the proposal form completed

Please note that we give priority to authors who's latest book is being published between May 2010 and March 2011, i.e. which will be available for the Festival. We are particularly interested in authors who are launching books in the spring.
3. Selection process:
- The selection of launches, authors and other Festival events remains the prerogative of Blue Metropolis Foundation and his Consultants committee.
- We will then choose from the proposals submitted and you will be informed by mid-December if your proposal has been retained.
- You will then receive a contract or an official invitation to formalize the agreement. For more details about this agreement, click here.
- The incomplete proposals or the one received after deadline will not be accepted. Please note that materials sent to us cannot be returned.
Considering the number of proposals which we receive every year, we are not regrettably capable of answering everybody. Only the successful applicants will be contacted.
